By giving to our Programming and Operating Fund, you create the most flexibility for us from year-to-year, to ensure we continue to bring a high-quality camping ministry to the youth of Arizona.

Our current operating budget is approximately $198,000. This includes the cost of camp for campers (food, supplies, lodging, transportation, etc.), staff salaries (both year round and seasonal), overhead and administrative costs, liability insurance, grounds insurance for Greer, general maintenance of the Greer facility, publishing and marketing resources, administrative software, and more.

As of now, the collected registration fees from families cover about 30% with another 20% covered through our scholarship funds. We are dependent on the generous contributors of our churches, presbyteries, and individuals to help make up the deficit each year.

Please consider a one time gift, or a recurring monthly donation. Your gift directly impacts the longevity of our program and the effectiveness we have to reach more youth.

You can make gift online with your credit/debit card through the “Donate Online” button above. Select “Programming and Operating Fund.” Your payment will run through the Paypal platform. (You do not have to have a PayPal account. You can also use a credit/debit card.) Please use the “add a note to your donation”  feature if you would like to further designate where your donation should be used.

Or you can mail your donation to:

Registration rates for our week long Overnight Summer camp are based on a voluntary 3-Tiered system. The highest tier ($1,100) is the actual cost to send a child to camp. However, we offer a partially subsidized rate, and a heavily subsidized rate allowing families to select the payment plan that helps them send their children to camp. (In addition, we offer scholarships on top of the subsidized rates for those families who need it.)

Our summer camp rates are lower than the national average as we continue to strive making camp affordable to all families. However, we are seeing the need in financial assistance rise as we are reaching more and more communities that typically do not have disposable income. Our goal is to find a way for every camper to attend camp. That goal is only possible through individuals and churches that give toward our camp scholarship funds.

We have a need to raise $55,000 in scholarship funds each and every year in order to continue offering the subsidized tiered program costs for families as well as the additional scholarship requests on top of the lowest tiered amount.

Please consider making a donation toward the cost of camp for a camper. These funds are restricted to use for subsidies and scholarships for families in financial need.

Montlure has faced many hurdles with reopening our facilities in Greer and we are overjoyed that after extensive work between the Council and the U.S. Forest Service, we have reached a commitment by the USFS to reissue our special use permit in order to return to Greer.

Our site requires ongoing maintenance and renovation as well as the use of utlities and required insurance. With a return to Greer in the  near future, we will have an even greater need on funds to complete our maintenance and rennovation projects in order to make camp safe and ready for campers!

Friends of Montlure is a support program to help cover the ongoing expenses for the site in Greer. 100% of the funds will be restricted for the purpose of maintaining and sustaining the Greer Facility. (This includes the general upkeep of the property, rennovation projects as needed to help bring the site up to safety standards, along with the required utlities and property insurance.)

The current annual cost to maintain the Greer site is approximately $34,000, not including any rebuilding or rennovation projects.

When you donate to Friends of Montlure, you are supporting the site in Greer, today.

We are bringing campers hom for the Summer 2024 season!

Montlure has faced many hurdles with reopening our facilities in Greer and we are overjoyed that after extensive work between the Council and the U.S. Forest Service, the USFS has reissued our special use permit in order to return to Greer for summer camp in 2024.

While the special use permit allows us to return to our site and bring our campers home, we have some limitiations on construction projects while we undergo a full federal NEPA review.

When you donate to the rebuild fund, you are donating to larger construction projects and the overall future of our site. Once the NEPA review is complete, we will immediately be ready to start the construction work to complete our mitigation plans. Our current bid to complete Phase I of our reconstruction plan is approximately $200,000 (though we expect this to increase). This phase includes restoring pathways and regrading the land among other foundational projects.

Phase II will include building new buildings and resoring others, in order to restore full capacity of camp and in anticipation of camp needs over the next 20+ years.

In addition, the USFS is requiring specific mitigation be put in place now as a condition of our return to help protect the land as well as the safety of campers. The cost of these plans and projects will come from our Rebuild Fund.

Please consider a financial donation so that we will be in position to complete all the work necessary when we are given the green light in the future.

(In addition, please consider a gift to Friends of Montlure for your donation to impact the ongoing and general needs of Greer today!)

You can make gift online with your credit/debit card through the “Donate Online” button. Select “Rebuilding Fund.” Your payment will run through the Paypal platform. (You do not have to have a PayPal account.)
