Montlure is still hiring for several positions for this summer's camping season!

  • Overnight Assistant Camp Director - The Overnight Assistant Camp Director works closely and cooperatively with the Overnight Director and all summer staff (volunteer and full time) to create a well-balanced and well-led program for Montlure's Ministry. They are a supportive roll for all and must be ready to help in any situation, lead with wisdom and patience and continually be looking for ways to live out Montlure's mission through their own actions and all elements of our program.  Learn More 

  • Traveling Day Camp Assistant Director - The TDC Assistant Director works directly and cooperatively with the Camp Director to ensure the logistics of Day Camp runs smoothly and successfully. They support Montlure’s mission by co-leading staff, volunteers, campers, and parents with the love of Christ and passion to share God’s love. They must be able to lead in patience and wisdom.   •   Program Staff- Program staff at Montlure fill a variety roles from Overnight Camp Counselor, Traveling Day Camp Counselor, Recreation Staff, Back-up Staff, Head Chef and Nurse. They may be scheduled for any position during different weeks of the summer. All positions require staff to build a Christ-centered community of trust, openness, and sharing. They must have a loving attitude and be a positive role model for each camper, one to whom a camper can look to for friendship, a listening ear, support, encouragement, understanding, and care. Staff members help plan and adapt activities and help create an atmosphere and opportunities for campers to know Jesus Christ as they grow spiritually, physically, emotionally, and socially together.   • Volunteer Counselors - Each camp will be staffed with volunteer counselors who will serve for just one week at camp. Our volunteers will provide each camp with energy, traditions to share, and excitement as they lead, sing, hike, pray, and learn with our campers.   • Volunteer Kitchen Staff – Each camp will be staffed with kitchen support volunteers who assist the Head Chef and report directly to Montlure Staff. Duties include prepping eating area before/after meals, washing dishes, taking out the trash. Kitchen staff must have a willing attitude and engage campers and other staff throughout the week. They are invited to play, sing, hike, pray, and learn with our campers. Limited positions available each week. Learn More

  • Volunteer Music and Worship Leader – Creating meaningful worship experiences at camp is a key element of nurturing a relationship with Christ. Montlure's music and worship leader is an essential volunteer that uses the gift of music to reinforce the daily scripture and theme. They will work with the camp Chaplain to prepare chapel services.   • Volunteer Chaplains - Our chaplains are the critical element that elevates our camp program to a wonderful experience for our campers as they come to know Christ and build their relationships with Him. The chaplains share their messages during worship, and are available throughout camp to meet with campers as requested. Learn More

  • Volunteer Photo/Media Staff – Our Photo/Media staff are responsible for capturing daily life at camp through photographs and video. Each day, images will be uploaded onto social media sites. There is further opportunity for media development, if desired. Media staff will also function as backup staff if needed for staff breaks and additional supervision of campers. Learn More

  • Volunteer Traveling Day Camp Counselor/Jr Counselor  -  Each Traveling Day Camp is staffed with volunteer counselors typically from the host church(s). Counselors will be teamed with Montlure Summer Staff to provide oversight and leadership to a group of 8-14 campers. Camp counselors provide energy and excitement as they lead, sing, play, pray, and learn with our campers. For volunteers under age 16, you may be placed with a group, with an activity/arts & crafts, or with the kitchen team based on needs for the week.
